‘Trust Docs’ on Link TV

Trust Docs, a series of short films said to uncover underreported news stories from around the world, premieres tonight at 8:30 pm ET/PT on non-commercial Link TV.

Presented through a partnership with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the series kicks off with Women’s Work, showing how women “are trailblazing through gender barriers in difficult and often dangerous environments. They are defying cultural norms and finding ways to pursue their dreams and change their future.”

Subsequent films, debuting on Thursdays, will include Colombia’s Ghosts of War (May 18), examining the aftermath of the South American country’s 52-year civil war; and Life in Refugee Camps (May 25), looking at “real people with real fears driving their decisions” who “take great risks to protect their families.” Other Trust Docs films will cover such issues as struggles to adjust to climate change, housing and land rights, and mental health.

You can watch Link TV nationwide on Roku, Apple TV, over-the-air in Los Angeles on channel 28.2, or via DirectTV and Dish Network.
