Two Amazon Prime series — the kids show Thunderbirds Are Go and the cop drama Bosch — launch their third seasons Friday, April 21.

Thunderbirds Are Go revolves around the five Tracy brothers – Scott, Gordon, Virgil, John and Alan – who “pilot remarkable, cutting-edge Thunderbird vehicles from the depths of the oceans to the highest reaches of space – all for one purpose: to help others in need.” The brothers “are supported by mechanical genius Brains, cover operative Kayo, their jet-setting London agent Lady Penelope, and her loyal driver Parker.”

This season, Amazon says, the young pilots will face “their toughest challenge yet – The Mechanic, who uses his ‘mecha machines’ to create chaos.”

Thunderbirds, produced by ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures in collaboration with Weta Workshop, features a mix of CGI animation and live-action model sets.

In Bosch, based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels The Black Echo and A Darkness More than Night, Titus Welliver plays hard-nosed Los Angeles detective Harry Bosch who pursues criminals despite impediments the system places in his path. This season, the divorced Bosch’s teenage daughter Maddie has moved in with him, forcing him to assume the responsibilities of being a single father. There’s also the murder of a homeless veteran and a high-profile murder trial involving a Hollywood director. The cast also includes The Wire’s Jamie Hector as Jerry Edgar, Being Human’s Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, The Walking Dead’s Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch, and The Wire’s Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.

Amazon is also launching “Bosch skill” for Alexa-enabled devices. including the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot. Featuring the voices of Welliver and other cast members, this allows viewers “to step into the shoes of an LAPD detective to join an interactive mystery and solve the case of a missing young woman.” You can find “Bosch skill” at Alexa Skills. You can learn more about Alexa-connected devices at Digital Trends.

Amazon has already ordered a fourth season of Bosch.

You can also stream seasons one and two of both Bosch and Thunderbirds Are Go with an Amazon Prime subscription.
