Netflix’s list of upcoming stand-up comedy specials continues to grow. The latest addition is Tracy Morgan’s Staying Alive, debuting Tuesday, May 16.
Morgan joins such other comics as Louis C.K. (April 4), Sarah Silverman (May 30), Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld on the Netflix roster.
Staying Alive was recorded at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, this past October during Morgan’s “Picking Up the Pieces” tour. Marking his return to stand-up following his near-fatal traffic accident in 2014, Morgan offers his take on the collision’s aftermath – “from coping with a traumatic brain injury and learning to walk again to ‘falling for’ his physical therapist and deciding that maybe getting older isn’t such a bad thing.”
