‘ON Classic Movies’

A new streaming channel for classic movies is now available for Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Called ON Classic Movies, the service groups its content into the following categories: “action and adventure,” “cartoons,” “comedies,” “documentaries and history,” “dramas,” “horror and thrillers,” “propaganda and informational,” “romance,” “sci-fi,” and “fantasy.”

While the press release announcing ON Classic Movies provided no information about specific titles, screen shots on Amazon reveal the following samples from a library of “hundreds of classic movies”: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1916), Charade (1963), The Fast and the Furious (1955), His Girl Friday (1940), Night of the Living Dead (1968) and Charlie Chaplin’s The Immigrant (1917).

If you don’t have Roku or Amazon Fire TV, don’t fret! All the films mentioned above are in the public domain and available for free on YouTube and other sites. Just click on the titles to view!

To get the free ON Classic Movies app, go to Amazon or Roku.

And here’s The Immigrant:
