Nobel Concert on Sunday

An international array of musical stars – including Sting from the UK and Halsey from the US — will perform at Sunday’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert, streaming online at 1 pm ET.

Also headlining will be Columbian superstar Juanes, appearing at the special invitation of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner — Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, who will be honored on Saturday “for his resolute efforts to bring the country’s more than 50-year-long civil war to an end.”

Both the concert and prize ceremony will be held in Oslo, so it’s not surprising that Sunday’s show will also include two Norwegian acts — Highasakite and Marcus & Martinus. Another duo on the bill will be Icona Pop from Stockholm, Sweden, where the rest of this year’s Nobel Prizes will be awarded on Saturday. Absent from both that ceremony and the following day’s Peace Prize Concert will be 2016 Literature winner Bob Dylan.

But Conan O’Brien will be present! The long-time late-night host explains why he was named host of the concert in this video:

The Nobel Peace Prize Concert will live -stream at 1 pm ET Sunday, December 11, on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You can even watch the show in 360-degree virtual reality by downloading the PeaceIsLoud app for iOS or Android.

You can also live-stream both the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony from Oslo and the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony from Stockholm on Saturday, December 10. The Oslo event will take place at 7 am ET and the Stockholm ceremonies at 10:30 am, both on the Nobel Prize website.
