Paula Deen Returns

Three years since being ousted by Food Network over admitted racial slurs, celebrity chef Paula Deen is back on the air. On October 15, she launched a weekly half-hour broadcast series called Positively Paula, and exactly one month later comes a live weekly two-hour show called Sweet Home Savannah. It will debut this coming Tuesday, November 16, at 6 pm ET over Evine, a shopping channel that streams live as well as airs on cable and satellite TV.

Evine noted that Deen joined Evine two years ago and has “since built a successful lifestyle brand that started with a kitchen and pantry line and quickly expanded to include home and fashion collections.” Sweet Home Savannah viewers will be able to order Deen’s branded items while she uses them on the show.

Sweet Home Savannah will be televised from Deen’s home in Savannah, GA, with Evine boasting that it’s the first retailer to ever host a weekly show on location. “Paula will get to be Paula – something our customers love – on a weekly basis, in her home and surrounded by her family and friends,” said Bob Rosenblatt, CEO of Evine.

Evine said that Deen will go into her closet to present her fashion line, her bedroom for her home line, and, of course, her kitchen for her cooking products.

“I couldn’t be happier to invite y’all into my home and give you the grand tour on Evine. I’m so excited to talk about what I love best – my kitchen, my bedroom and my closet!,” said Deen herself in a statement.

Evine is also planning a live Facebook show, Beyond Backstage, for November 22. This will be “a fun, candid conversation with Paula and include a special offer to Facebook fans.”

Evine’s live stream can be found online and on YouTube, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, select Samsung Smart TVs, and right here:
