CONtv at LA Comic Con

Streaming network CONtv, which is owned by Cinedigm, has secured an exclusive partnership with Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con (not to be confused with Comic-Con, which held its event in San Diego last July and was covered by Comic-Con HQ).

CONtv will provide video coverage of panels and interviews from this year’s show, to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center October 28-30. Among the celebrities, Stan Lee himself will host a panel Sunday, October 30. Other show notables include Kevin Conroy, the original voice for Batman in Batman: The Animated Series, as well as Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, The Flash star Candice Patton, and Shannon Purser of Netflix’s Stranger Things.

Cast members of the legendary 1960s Batman TV series will also appear, including Adam West, Burt Ward, Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether.

Convention footage will be used for a full-length documentary, and several events will be filmed in immersive virtual reality, including tours of the floor and Lee’s Sunday panel.

In all, CONtv will provide 15-20 hours of show coverage, including such events as:

More Flash! – A panel discussion featuring The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker, Patty Spivot, Candice Patton and Teddy Sears.

Yes Way! Gerard Way! – Gerard Way, comic creator, songwriter and lead singer of My Chemical Romance, will be a “special guest of honor” at a panel from the “Hot Topic Main Stage. “

The Makeup National Championship – The Hot Topic Main Stage will also host the first-ever “Makeup National Championship” presented by M.A.C. Cosmetics and Makeup Artist Magazine.

Nickelodeon’s Miraculous Ladybug and Henry Danger – The voices of Ladybug and Cat Noir, as well as the team behind Nickelodeon’s hit show Miraculous Ladybug will be on a panel, as will Jace Norman and Cooper Barnes of Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger.

CONtv offers both free, ad-supported video, and a $4.99 per month subscription plan for premium content. You can view CONtv at its website, or via Roku, Amazon Prime, iOS, Android and Samsung Smart TVs.
