Sling TV Expands Lineup

Sling TV has expanded programming options for families and hockey enthusiasts.

Two family-oriented networks, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, have been added to the Sling TV lineup.  Both are now available with the “Lifestyle Plus Extra” add-on pack for Sling TV’s Orange and Blue services.

Hallmark Channel offers “original family-friendly content including light-hearted romantic movies, primetime scripted series, annual specials, and [the] Emmy-nominated two-hour daytime lifestyle program, Home & Family, plus 20 hours of on-demand programming.” The network also offers classic TV series such as The Middle, I Love Lucy, Golden Girls and Frasier.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries features original dramas and mystery movies.

Both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will automatically appear in the channel guide of Sling TV customers who sign up for Lifestyle Plus Extra. To subscribe to Lifestyle Plus Extra for an extra $5 per month, visit sling.com.

Sling TV adds the NHL Network in “Sports Extra”

Sling TV customers with the “Sports Extra” package can now view live NHL games and on-site coverage of NHL events, studio shows, interviews, highlights and expert analysis from a variety of hockey insiders and former players. NHL Network also provides behind-the-scenes features, player profiles and international and amateur hockey competitions.

More than 75 games are scheduled, including New York Rangers v. Washington Capitals (Oct. 22), the Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic between the Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers (Oct. 23), Pittsburgh Penguins v. Philadelphia Flyers (Oct. 29), and Los Angeles Kings v. Chicago Blackhawks (Oct. 30). Games watched via Sling TV are subject to local blackouts depending on your location.

The NHL Network also provides live weekday programming including NHL Now at 4 pm ET, the prime-time “flagship show” NHL Tonight at 6 pm, and the nightly highlights show On The Fly.
