SoulBeat TV Spotlights Bay Area

A new online channel showcasing San Francisco Bay area talent launches this Thursday, September 29. at 11 pm ET, 8 pm local time.

SoulBeat TV is the Internet reincarnation of a Comcast TV cable channel of the same name that was available to Bay area residents in the 1980 and 1990s. The online version is being shepherded by former SoulBeat show producer, Warren Foster Sr., whose original program, Business in the Black, spotlighted successful African-American business owners.

“We are relaunching SoulBeat TV to uplift the Bay Area community in musical and creative arts, supporting greater city unity, civic correctness with peace, love and prosperity,” said Foster. “All of our shows and series will feature multicultural hosts, artists, musicians and community members.”

The new SoulBeat TV will debut with Spotlight on the Bay, a live program starring local Bay Area musicians in local venues. Future shows are expected to include:

  • Passing the Torch – “Musical legends passing on wisdom to the next generation”
  • Jazz @ the Pass – Live jazz concert series from around the Bay area and beyond
  • Drum of the Bay – “Feeling the rhythm of the Bay,” featuring local activists
  • Masters at Work – Behind- the-scenes production footage inside the studio
  • Vibes – “A dance party ‘Soul Train’ experience”
  • Biz in the Black –Successful local community business owners
  • Gray Matters –Active lifestyles of the baby boomer generation
