‘Good News’ This Fall

HooplaHa-Only Good News, a digital media producer and website, sounds like a welcome answer to the outrage-inducing videos flooding YouTube, Facebook feeds and countless other video platforms.

The company, founded in 2012, will introduce three new original series this fall.

Joy Story, a 20-episode series launching September 21, follows two Connecticut JoyRide Cycling Studio instructors Adam Keller and Jared Marinelli as they plan their wedding. The couple first first found fame with their flash mob same sex wedding proposal last Valentine’s Day.

Premiering September 27, B Kind, aiming to inspire “people of all ages, but specifically youth, to engage in acts of kindness every day,” will feature a conversation “about spreading kindness and inspiring others daily” with Tony Goldwyn, the actor who plays the president of the United States on ABC’s Scandal.

The two series are launching in partnership with Al Roker’s Roker Media‘s introduction of original programs on his new Live Streaming Network.

My Passion Project, “a new series that shines a light on causes that are close to the hearts of celebrities,” will also premiere this fall, though a premiere date hasn’t been announced. The debut includes an interview with actress Melissa Joan Hart, known for TV’s Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Melissa and Joey. Hart will talk about Operation Shower, an organization that hosts baby showers “for expectant military mothers whose spouses or partners are deployed.”

HooplaHa’s new video series will also include a real-time component through interactive platforms like Facebook Live.

“People are craving good news in today’s world — and that’s what we do,” said Rob Hess, chief content officer for HooplaHa-Only Good News. “HooplaHa is the ultimate source of positive, inspiring stories — the stories people want to talk about and share.”
