ABCd Adds Sitcom, Four Other Series

ABC has added five short-form series — including a sitcom from You Tube star Lisa Schwartz — to its ABCd digital-only lineup that’s available free to anyone at or via the ABC app. The new shows join seven shows that launched in July.

Episodes of four of the shows have already posted:

  • This Isn’t Working – Co-produced, written and starring Schwartz (YouTube’s lisbug), this is about “an aspiring actress with a negative bank account balance, taking on an endless stream of embarrassing part-time jobs to make ends meet.” Here’s the first of five available episodes:
  • What To Text Him BackRelationship expert and author of Get The Guy Matthew Hussey “breaks down dating in the digital age.” (six episodes)
  • Tastemade’s Farm to Plate — Aussie chef Guy Turland explores “the foraging phenomenon, trekking through land and sea to pick the freshest local ingredients from the most interesting places.” (eight episodes)
  •  She Talks — Female entrepreneurs Alli Webb, founder of DryBar; Wendi Levy and Kim Etheridge, co-founders of Mixed Chicks; Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker, co-founders of Sugar Paper; and Zhena Muzyka, founder of Zhena’s Gypsy Tea “share the sacrifices and triumphs of striking out on their own.” (four episodes)

The fifth series — A Little of Your Time with Quinn Marcus — will debut on Thursday, September 15. In it, the comedian and veteran MTV host will ask celebs “to share some aspect of their everyday lives.”
