More ‘Stranger Things’ are Coming

After Netflix yesterday renewed its 1980s-themed supernatural hit Stranger Things for a second season, young cast members went on a publicity blitz in New York.

But Netflix junkies who don’t watch broadcast TV might have missed last night’s “preview” of the second season on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. We’ve got it here:

More seriously, beyond the YouTube teaser, here is some more of what we know about the second season’s nine episodes coming in 2017, gleaned from an Entertainment Weekly interview with showrunners The Duffer Brothers:

  • Whether or not Barb is still there, the series will return to the Upside Down world
  • The new season will open somewhere other than in Hawkins, IN
  • There will be four new characters
  • Heroine Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) may return – or maybe not
  • Expect James Cameron influences

Seriously, though, the Duffers sounded like they haven’t really thought the second season through yet, so maybe they should take some tips from the show’s young stars whose post-renewal publicity blitz included giving plot predictions to USA Today:
