TrueChat Goes Tri-Format

Radio podcast network TrueChat has launched TrueChat Next, which allows users to decide how to receive individual shows — video, text or audio. The ad-free service is available on the web or via smartphone apps.

The site is beta-testing today, with TrueChat stressing that not all of its weekly programs are yet available in all three formats. In fact, of the first 14 shows posted this week,, only three have included video versions (essentially “filmed” versions of radio shows). Here’s a sports show, which first aired live yesterday, July 20:

Justin T Weller, executive director and co-founder of TrueChat, which launched in 2011, called TrueChat Next “a revolutionary platform that will allow our audience to read, listen, or watch our content….So whether you’re in a quiet place, in your car or watching TV at home, it is easy to tune in to your favorite, commercial-free shows on sports, politics, entertainment, business, and more.”
