Hulu Adds ‘Billy on the Street’

Hulu subscribers can now watch the first four seasons of Billy on the Street, starring Billy Eichner. The truTV sketch comedy show is produced by Funny Or Die, the comedy website and production company started by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy.

The first 42 episodes of the series are available to Hulu viewers in a deal that grants the streaming service rights to the first five seasons. The fifth season will appear on Hulu after its full season run on truTV, which starts this fall.  It’s the first truTV series to be licensed to Hulu since the streaming platform launched a partnership with the Turner division in 2015.

Billy on the Street follows comedian Billy Eichner along the sidewalks of New York as he catches passers-by off-guard with questions about music and pop culture. Sometimes, Eichner is joined by celebrities.

Here’s Billy with David Letterman in 2015 asking New Yorkers for some retirement advice:

Eichner also stars in the Hulu original series Difficult People, which will debut its second season on July 12.

Hulu offers streaming subscription at $7.99 per month, with limited commercials, or ad-free viewing at $11.99 per month.
