Christian Cinema Adds Apple TV App

Christian Cinema, claiming “the world’s largest library of Christian and family films” with a database of 4,000 titles, has released “the first-ever Apple TV streaming app for families of faith.” Christian Cinema’s titles, available to own or rent, can also be accessed over Roku and on, which claims 250,000 unique monthly visitors.

What are people watching?

We visited today and were greeted with promotions for several titles, including:

  • Promised Land: The Essential Pilgrims Edition (2016), a two-part, three-and-a-half-hour documentary tour of the holy land.
  • King’s Faith (2013), which chronicles a teenage boy attempting to leave gang life behind.
  • Wildflower (2016), by the filmmakers who produced King’s Faith, is a mystery thriller about a college girl confronting past traumas. You can watch a trailer for Wildflower here:

All three rent for $4.99, while ownership ranges from $9.99 for King’s Faith to $12.99 for this year’s titles.
