Seriously.TV Finds Humor in Ridesharing

Drive Share, a scripted comedy that will explore the funnier side of ridesharing, will premiere exclusively on Seriously.tv in the fourth quarter of 2016. Shooting begins this July in Los Angeles.

Drive Share was created by and stars Rob Huebel, who plays Dr. Owen Maestro on Childrens Hospital and Paul Scheer, aka Andre, on The League. According to Deadline, Seriously.tv, an online digital platform targeted at millennials, will make the 10-episode series available in truncated chapters. Digital TV studio Insurrection Media, which produced Drive Share, will distribute the episodes in a longer, half-hour format internationally.

Insurrection Media also has deals with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and David Alpert of Skybound Entertainment, as well as HarperCollins to develop science fiction, dramatic and comedic fare for multiple television platforms.

Verizon Hearst Media Partners first introduced Seriously.TV, along with RatedRed.com, in May.  Seriously.TV is described as “a multiplatform digital video channel” for younger viewers who would rather get comedic news updates on their phones than on late-night TV shows.
