Hulu and Netflix Expand Kids’ Libraries

Streaming video competitors Hulu and Netflix have announced content licensing deals that considerably expand their libraries of children’s programming.

In an agreement with the Disney-ABC Television Group, Hulu acquired streaming rights for full prior seasons of kids’ titles from Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD. The deal will add more than 500 episodes and more than 20 original movies from the  networks to the Hulu Kids library.

Hulu will make the newly acquired shows available later this month, with subsequent seasons accessible to subscribers after the last episode of each season is broadcast.

Disney Junior’s animated series Doc McStuffins and Bunnytown are already available for streaming exclusively on Hulu.
