Driver’s Ed ‘Course’

The National Safety Council has designated April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month, so how about taking a free Crash Course in Better Driving tomorrow? You don’t need a car; just go to Shout Factory TV Live at 3 pm ET.

The centerpiece of the tongue-in-cheek event is a showing of Fender Bender (2016), Shout Factory’s first original production. This slasher film take on “what can go horribly wrong after even a minor accident” has previously run on cable/satellite channel Chiller and is also available to stream via subscription service Shudder.

Fender Bender will be joined by vintage driver’s ed films, snippets of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 gang riffing on car scenes, and “lessons on automotive safety, dealing with road rage, and how to not be stupid behind the wheel” from the event’s host – identified only as “esteemed driver’s ed teacher Wilbur P.
