Where in the world will you find new episodes of Carmen Sandiego? Why, on Netflix, of course!

The latest incarnation of the long-running geographical education franchise will be animated, with Carmen — the long-pursued international thief – voiced by Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez.

Rodriguez takes over a role initially voiced two decades ago by Rita Moreno, who has not only played Rodriguez’ grandmother on Jane but is also the star’s role model. Here’s Rodriguez paying tribute to Moreno at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors:

Netflix said that 20 episodes of Carmen Sandiego will premiere in 2019. Finn Wolfhard (below), who plays Mike on Netflix’s Stranger Things, will also be in the show. He’ll voice Player, Carmen’s “chief accomplice and friend.”

The series promises “thrilling adventure and intrigue,” plus the opportunity to learn not only where, but also “who in the world is Carmen Sandiego and why she became a super thief.”

The Carmen Sandiego franchise began as a video game in 1985, with the first TV series arriving in 1991: the PBS kids’ game show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? This was followed in 1994 by the animated Fox series Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? and in 1996 by another PBS game show, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?

To watch Rita Moreno voicing Carmen Sandiego in Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?, you can tune to (or DVR) over-the-air channel Qubo, Sunday and Monday mornings from 4 am to 6 am ET. To find your local Qubo station, visit RabbitEars.
