Twitch Gamer Mini-Doc

Ironsights is a new 22-minute documentary that aims to capture the drama of the Big Buck World Championship, a competition based on the Big Buck Hunter video game.

Produced by Twitch Studios, Ironsights features “Wisconsin native Sara Erlandson, as she travels from her hometown of Beldenville to the Big Buck World Championship in Austin, Texas.”

The championship, which has streamed live on the social video gamers’ community platform Twitch since 2013, brings together aficionados of Big Buck HD, described as “the first-ever 1080p high definition arcade video game.” The game features “online connectivity, allowing players to track scores and compete against players from across the country for cash prizes.”

“There’s no community like the Big Buck community,” said George Petro, president of the game’s production studio.”Twitch has discovered what our players have known for years. Big Buck Hunter is social networking in its purest form.”

Ironsights premieres today, April 7, at 5 pm ET on www.twitch.tv/twitch.
