EWTN Honors Founder

The EWTN Global Catholic Network will commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Mother Mary Angelica, who founded the channel in 1981, with two days of special programming that can be streamed online.

Starting Sunday, March 26, EWTN will present:

  • In Memoriam: A Look Back to Mother Angelica’s Passing, a 90-minute encore special hosted by Fr. Mark Mary (Sunday, 4:30 pm ET, and Monday, 4 pm);
  • Holy Hour on the One Year Anniversary of Mother’s Passing, live from the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Ala. (Sunday, 6 pm);
  • Remembering Mother, a “World Over” encore special with host Raymond Arroyo featuring clips of Mother Angelica through the years (Sunday, 7 pm);
  • Divine Office in Memoriam at Hanceville Shrine (Monday, 7:30 am);
  • Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel on EWTN’s Irondale campus (Monday, 8 am)
  • Holy Mass on the One Year Anniversary of Mother’s Passing, celebrated by Birmingham Bishop Robert J. Baker, with a homily by Fr. Mark Mary (Monday, noon).
